Ed has extensive experience in corporate formation, governance, start-ups, M&A, business visas, contracts and employment law. He is also a seasoned litigation attorney, helping business clients resolve disputes for over 25 years. Ed’s goal is to smooth your entry into the U.S. market – – to make sure all legal issues are handled up front so that you can concentrate on business.

Ed’s international legal journey began with Lafarge, Flecheux & Ghestin in Paris, where he interned. Ed then honed his legal practice for 14 years at McDonough, Holland & Allen, once Sacramento’s largest law firm. Since co-founding Martensen Wright PC in 2000, Ed has dedicated himself exclusively to establishing and nurturing Danish and other European businesses in the U.S. He assists clients with the practical requirements of “Doing Business in the U.S.,” providing guidance to clients on matters related to company liability, employment, contracts, and federal and state regulations. Indeed, Ed and co-founder, Finn Martensen, were pioneers in bringing Danish business to the U.S.

As a former vineyard owner (and laborer), Ed is passionate about California wines, and indeed, wines from around the world. Ed also enjoys the theater and volunteering with Sacramento charity events. He is an avid traveler.
