Distinguished Professor & Scholar Stephen C. McCaffrey has joined Martensen Wright PC as Of Counsel. Stephen is one of the world’s foremost authorities on international water law and will serve our firm as a resource in public and private international law. His impressive resume includes numerous appointments as counsel to foreign countries and international committees, departments and councils for matters regarding international law, environmental law and cooperation, and transnational litigation. He is a Member of the Implementation Committee, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes.


At McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, Professor McCaffrey teaches courses in Conflict of Laws, International Water Resources Law, International Environmental Law and Transnational Litigation.
