Martensen Wright PC

Establishing Scandinavian businesses in the U.S. every day.

Michael Mitnick, Associate Attorney

Michael Mitnick is an Associate Attorney at Martensen Wright PC. He supports the firm’s work across a range of transactional, litigation, and corporate matters, including contract drafting and review and general employment-related issues.

Michael’s academic and personal background reflects his long-standing affinity for Denmark and the Nordic region. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Washington, where he studied Political Science and Danish and completed a minor in Scandinavian Studies. He later participated in an immersive Danish language and culture program at Askov Højskole, further grounding his academic interests through time spent in Denmark.

Michael went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law. During law school, he chose to spend part of his legal studies at the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Law through a J.D. exchange program, a decision shaped by his years of study and time spent in Denmark. Michael also gained practical legal experience through internships with the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office and the Elk Grove City Attorney’s Office, where he assisted attorneys with litigation-related research and drafting and supported municipal legal matters. He also served as a Research Editor for the Journal of International Law and Policy for several semesters. Michael was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2025 and eagerly applies his Danish language skills in his legal work where opportunities arise.

At Martensen Wright PC, Michael supports the firm’s clients on corporate, employment, and dispute-related matters. He contributes legal research, drafting, and case support that helps advance client objectives and ensures matters are prepared thoroughly and efficiently as part of the firm’s broader legal team.

Outside of work, Michael spends as much time as possible running, hiking, and trail running throughout California. He is a devoted sports fan, following the Los Angeles Dodgers, Syracuse University football and basketball, and the Danish national football team, Herrelandsholdet. He also enjoys reading and is particularly drawn to classic and philosophical literature.
