As an Associate for Martensen Wright PC, Lucien advises clients on various business matters, including employment, incorporation, commercial leasing, product liability, trademark registrations, immigration matters, commercial contracts and corporate reporting compliance. He reviews and drafts a wide variety of contracts and other business documents, including Employment Agreements, Termination Notices and Severance Agreements, Sales Contracts, Service Agreements, Distributor Agreements, Stock Option Agreements, Purchase and Sale Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreements, and Residential and Commercial Lease Agreements. He advises clients on the potential ramifications or implications of contract terms, potential exposure or liability, the permissibility of proposed actions, potential workarounds, available remedies and appropriate next steps.

Lucien also represents clients in litigation and administrative hearings, both affirmatively pursuing claims and when needed, defending claims. He provides guidance as to litigation strategy, likely outcomes, risks and liability. He is a keen believer in Alternative Dispute Resolution, and regularly assists clients at mediation to resolve claims that on their face seem unresolvable. He can take your case to trial. Lucien has solid appellate experience.

Lucien also assists clients in preparing trademark and trademark renewal applications.

An avid student of life, Lucien enjoys solving problems big and small. His background in philosophy and experience as a mechanic, lecturer, debater, and debate coach at San Jose State University, along with his experience as a negotiator and analyst for the California State Lands Commission, have taught him that complex problems often have simple solutions and that finding solutions to seemingly unsolvable issues requires an open mind and a willingness to consider all perspectives. He is a firm believer in the idea that someone who knows only one side of an argument is less than half informed. As an advocate, Lucien applies this philosophy and his knack for problem-solving to find novel solutions to stubborn problems and achieve desirable results for his clients. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, restoring classic cars, finding new experiences to share with others, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
