DIVERSITY IMMIGRANT VISA LOTTERY 2018

The Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery for 2018, also known as the Green Card Lottery, is back. It is an annual program that allows 50,000 persons from countries with low rates of immigration to apply for Permanent Resident Status in the United States. The application must be filed online between Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), and Monday, November 7, 2016 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Please note that there are many fraudulent websites posing as official U.S. government sites seeking money in order to “complete” DV entry forms. You do not have to pay a fee to participate in the Green Card Lottery. There is no charge to complete the Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form. The US Department of State does NOT notify Diversity Visa winners by letter or email. Applicants can only find out if they were selected to continue with DV processing by checking their status online through the DV Entrant Status Check at http://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
